UKC Youth Baseball and Softball

  T-Ball Program at UKCYBSA

Our T-Ball program is designed for young athletes ages 4-6, providing a fun and supportive introduction to baseball and softball. This beginner-friendly league focuses on developing basic skills in a positive team environment.

What to Expect in T-Ball

  • Fundamentals First: Players learn essential baseball skills, including hitting, throwing, catching, and running bases.

  • Batting from a Tee: Young athletes hit from a height-adjusted batting tee to promote proper swing mechanics.

  • Team-Oriented Play: Every player bats in order through the lineup each game, ensuring equal participation.

  • Encouraging Environment: Coaches emphasize teamwork, sportsmanship, and confidence-building as players develop their skills.

T-Ball is a great way for kids to experience the joy of baseball and softball while building a strong foundation for future play. Games start mid to end of April and end in June, expect 2-3 days a week for commitment

Our Rookie Division is a co-ed league designed for ballplayers ages 7-8, providing a fun and engaging next step in their baseball and softball journey. This division introduces a pitching machine to create a positive learning environment where players can develop their skills with confidence.

What to Expect in Rookie Division

  • Machine-Pitched Balls: The use of a pitching machine ensures more consistent, hittable pitches, helping young athletes build their batting skills.

  • Increased Action: With more balls in play, players get more opportunities to field, throw, and make plays.

  • Confidence & Safety: The pitching machine helps reduce the fear of being hit by a pitched ball, allowing players to focus on skill development.

  • Co-Ed Play: Both boys and girls participate together, learning teamwork and sportsmanship in a fun, inclusive environment.

The Rookie Division is a great way for young athletes to grow their love for the game while developing stronger fundamental skills.

                                                                                                       Minors Baseball Division at UKCYBSA

The Minors Baseball Division is designed for ballplayers ages 9-10, providing an exciting opportunity to build and refine fundamental skills while learning game strategy and teamwork. This level introduces more advanced concepts of baseball in a fun and competitive environment.

What to Expect in Minors Baseball

  • Skill Development: Players continue improving their batting, fielding, pitching, and base running abilities.

  • Game Strategy: Athletes begin learning situational plays, defensive positioning, and teamwork dynamics.

  • Increased Competition: Many regions introduce post-season tournaments at this level, with opportunities for players to compete at higher levels.

  • Path to Advancement: The Minors Division serves as a stepping stone for players preparing for upper-level baseball, including the 10-Year-Old World Series.

                                                                                    Majors Division (Major 70) at UKCYBSA

The Majors Division (Major 70) is designed for advanced youth baseball players looking to enhance their skills in a more competitive environment. Featuring a 50' pitching distance and 70' base paths, this division provides a transition to higher levels of play with expanded rules and strategic gameplay.

What to Expect in Major 70

  • Advanced Gameplay: Players experience real baseball strategies, including lead-offs, stealing, and pickoff moves.

  • Competitive Play: Teams participate in regular-season games, refining their skills in preparation for postseason play.

  • Tournament Opportunities: This division includes a tournament trail starting at the District level and leading to the World Series in Branson, MO at Ballparks of America, featuring top teams from around the world.

  • Path to Higher Levels: Major 70 prepares players for advanced divisions, helping them gain experience on larger fields and against stronger competition.

The Majors Division is a great opportunity for young athletes to challenge themselves, grow as players, and compete at a higher level.
